WEEKLY MEDITATION
For a decade I was all input no output when it comes to information. I spent all my free time listening to podcasts, reading books and watching videos. I thought it made me smarter, better, happier.
At some point the information overload did not hit the same. It needed to come out. It needed to be molded into some I created. To free up room in my hard drive I had to compress the data.
The only way was to structure the information in unique concepts or mental models. I soon realized this is creative. I always thought of my self as an autistic left brain non-creative spaz. For the first time I question this assumption.
I then realized everything is creative in essence. Information input, information output. Everything became a creative endeavor. Reading books, working out, having conversations, all creative. All creation.
As one interacts with reality one can dance. You are in a sense dancing with entropy to create pockets of order. The pockets you create are your creations.
Frame everything as a dance on the canvas of reality. Don’t take reality (the canvas) so serious. But, do take the painting seriously.
Why would you create something ugly if you had the choice not to?

VRILL INSIGHTS
THE ARTIST IS THE ART
You can’t separate the art from the artist.
The art is the artist.
They are one and the same.
Creativity isn’t something you channel through a single outlet; it’s something you become.
It’s a state of being, not just the act of making.
There’s a reason people go to museums and see a name printed next to a painting.
People want to know who created it, and why.
Without that connection, something feels off.
It anchors the art to a life and makes it feel human.
The same goes for music.
Imagine if Spotify showed songs with no artist listed.
just anonymous sound.
It wouldn’t hit the same, because the emotion behind it would lose context.
The art only reaches its full power when we feel the soul of the person who made it.
The art is the bridge, but the artist is the energy crossing it.
Toward the end of his life, Picasso began painting like a child, not because he had lost his skill, but because he rediscovered the pure joy of creating for its own sake.
He no longer painted to impress.
We admire an adult that has the balls to create like a child again.

Not for their perfection, but for their authenticity.
For the courage it takes to unlearn refinement and return to innocence.
We don’t value those later paintings because they’re “good”
we value them because Picasso painted them.
The soul of the artist gives meaning to the art.
When you make life itself the focus, when you turn your own existence into the canvas, the art you produce becomes the natural byproduct.
Your life is your masterpiece.
It becomes one continuous creative flow where you apply creativity to every aspect of your life.
This is the state of being children live in.
Which happens when you focus on the now.
The present moment.
I don’t see the point in living a miserable life just to produce “great” works.
What’s the worth of beautiful art if the artist’s soul is in ruins?
I believe God is everywhere, and the first place you must find Him is within yourself.
If you neglect your own life, you neglect the part of God that lives inside you.
They say art comes from pain, but I don’t agree.
Art comes from presence.
From emotion.
From intensity.
Pain just happens to be the emotion most artists feel deeply enough to express.
But the truth is, art can be born from joy, awe, love, chaos, beauty, from anything that moves you.
To live is to create.
So STFU and go make something you bum.
